Devprayag - The beautiful city of Uttrakhand

All the city of Uttrakhand have their own unique history, Similarly Devprayag has its own unique history. Devprayag is the fifth place in the five prayag of Uttrakhand, Devprayag is also called the city of Pandits, this pandit is related to Badrinath temple. The height of Devprayag is approx 472 meters. Devprayag attract more religious devotees due to his beautiful and supernatural vision.



The main reason for Devprayag being famous is that here the confluence of the two River of Hinduism Bagirathi and Alaknanda River and with this confluence the Ganga River is born,  which is considered a holy River in Hinduism.

It said that here King Dashratha and King Rama did penance here.

In Devprayag a kund or valley is formed from the old stones above the confluence, the Brahma Kund over the Bagirathi River and Vashisht Kund above the Alaknanda River.

Every year in Devprayag millions of people come to see Raghunathji by the devotees. Apart from Raghunathji temple, their is to see Betaal Kund, Brahma Kund, Surya Kund, Vashisht Kund, Chandrabadani temple and Dashrathashila.
